How to Verify a Peptide COA and Your Lab
Check the report number, lot, issuer and ISO scope. A PDF, QR or stamp does not verify all properties.
FAST RESPONSE
How do I know if a COA is authentic?
Search for the issuer through an independent channel, check the report number and relate product, sample and lot. The authenticity of the file, the scope of the tests and the representativeness of the batch are three different verifications.

A screenshot sent via courier may be cropped, outdated, or attributed to another batch. Obtain the complete document and locate the laboratory's official site or contact separately. If it offers a verification portal, check report number, product and sample data there. If not, ask the issuer for confirmation.
A verifiable record allows a specific document to be compared; It does not by itself validate all of the seller's activity. Avoid confusing “the laboratory issued this report” with “all vials in this store always comply.” They are statements of different scope.
ISO/IEC 17025: which method is accredited?
Accreditation is granted for a defined scope. Search for accrediting body, current number and annex of methods and matrices. Just because a laboratory is accredited for some tests does not mean that all the tests in its catalog are.
The useful check is concrete: "Is this test, on this type of sample, included in the scope?" Keep the annex or its official link with the report. You can use records from accrediting bodies to verify the claim, rather than just accepting a business logo.

Authentic report, but from another batch
Teaching case: The lab confirms a real report, but the label on your vial has a different batch. You have confirmed documentary authenticity; The relationship with delivery remains unresolved. Request the applicable report or a documented explanation of traceability.
Something similar happens with an old report that is kept as a public example: it can show which tests were ordered then, but it should not be presented as evidence of the batch available today. Review dates without deducing an expiration that the report does not establish.

| Authenticity | Does the issuer confirm this report? |
| Scope | What properties and sample were examined? |
| Traceability | How does it relate to the batch received? |
What to do when pages or data are missing
Request full pages, method and units. A "pass" result without limit or criteria may be insufficient for the project. If the information is not provided, record what ownership remains unproven; do not fill it with the laboratory's reputation or forum comments.
For an analysis commissioned by your laboratory, agree on tests, sample identification, quantity required and report format. Preserve the sender's original response. Such documentation helps compare results and investigate a discrepancy without relying on forwarded files.
Frequently asked questions
Does a COA with my mark prove that I took the sample?
No. Review who commissioned the analysis and how the sample was selected and identified. The recipient of the report and the person responsible for sampling may be different.
Is a test outside the ISO scope necessarily false?
No. They are different questions: authenticity, documented competence, and scope of accreditation. Request evidence of the method and its limitations without attributing an accreditation that it does not have.
Does the same laboratory mean the same manufacturer?
No. A laboratory can test samples from multiple manufacturers and stores. Issuer sharing does not identify a common supply chain.
