GLOW, KLOW and mixtures: how to read their quantities

Blend names, 5/5 mg labels and total amount: check composition and concentration by component for a trial.

FAST RESPONSE

Is 70 mg of a blend 70 mg of each component?

No. If the figure describes the total, you need the breakdown to know each ingredient. GLOW and KLOW are trade names that do not replace a composition specification nor prove that different offerings are equivalent.

A mix name is not a specification

A token can use GLOW or KLOW to identify a set of components, but useful comparison requires names and quantities. Don't assume that two suppliers use exactly the same formula just because the name and total weight match.

Request nominal composition per vial and how the components are verified in the report. If an ambiguous reference such as TB-500 is used, its identity must also be resolved. A total without a breakdown leaves basic questions unanswered.

How do you read a “5/5 mg” label?

If the specification confirms two components of 5 mg each, the nominal sum is 10 mg. It's 5 mg of A and 5 mg of B, not 10 mg of each. The notation alone can be ambiguous if names or units are missing: ask that the full breakdown be written.

It also distinguishes quantity per vial and quantity of the pack. A pack of ten vials with this content would have a total nominal mass of 100 mg adding both components. The calculation organizes an offer; It does not verify its analytical content or establish a use.

What should the COA of a mixture explain?

Ask which components were identified, which were quantified, and with what methods. A single purity result without assignment does not explain all the quantities. Documentation should allow each result to be related to the corresponding compound and sample.

If a report states TB4 and the offer only says TB-500, or if the analytical content does not match the proposed quantities, ask for clarification before considering equivalent references. Save the agreed composition and specification with the report.

Concentration of each component in a test

The calculation uses the mass of each compound and the final volume of the solution. Do not use the sum of the blend as if it were the individual dough. If a test requires a specific concentration of A, the A data is what must be entered into the calculation.

This explanation does not recommend mixtures, proportions or guidelines for people. Nor does it infer joint stability: sharing a vial requires its own specification and data, not the sum of separate material instructions.

Frequently asked questions

Do all GLOW and KLOW have the same composition?

Don't deduce it from the name. Compare components, quantities, shape of each molecule and batch documentation.

Does a blend replace its separate components?

It depends on the objective of the test and the specification; The name or total weight does not establish equivalence.

Does each ingredient maintain its expiration date when mixed?

It should not be assumed. The stability of the joint preparation requires data on that composition and conditions.
